The Monolith LeChef is the perfect grill for cooking large amounts of meat or simultaneous cooking of many different dishes. Barbecuing, smoking, baking, cooking, or roasting – everything is possible – in unprecedented dimensions. Thanks to the new Smart Grid System, it is now possible to grill with ½ grates on 4 levels. At the same time, the use of ½ grease trays and ½ deflector stones allows simultaneous use as a direct and indirect grill, making it perfect for parties, barbecue teams, street food vendors, restaurants and caterers. Our unique system of supplying wood chips, chunks or pellets allows you to insert the smoke chips directly over the hot charcoal – without having to raise the lid! Complemented with extensive accessories including the cast iron grid, pizza stone, wok and stand the LeChef is the ultimate outdoor kitchen.

EFFICIENT
Due to its unique thermal efficiency the Monolith Kamado Grill needs very little energy to generate and maintain the desired temperature so with just 2,5 – 3kg of charcoal the Monolith can cook low and slow for more than 24 hours. Furthermore very little oxygen is required to maintain temperature and air movement is minimal so meats stay moist and juicy.
EFFECTIVE
Compared to other barbecues the Monolith is extremely fuel efficient delivering high temperatures with minimal waste and makes searing a couple of steaks a breeze. Simply open the top and bottom vents and air races in to quickly heat the charcoal. When done just close the vents to stop the air flow, the grill and fire area are now sealed and within a short time the charcoal embers die down ready to be re-used next time.
UNIQUE WOODCHIP FEEDER SYSTEM
Our unique system for adding wood chips gives the meat that typical smoky barbecue taste without having to disturb the meat by raising the lid. Flavored wood chips are placed in a chute and are pushed through the specially designed aperture directly in to the fire.
HIGH-QUALITY MATERIALS
The Monolith is made of extremely heat-resistant ceramics and high grade stainless steel. The robustly designed cart is made of powder coated steel, has two practical solid bamboo side tables and locking casters for safety.
DIRECT GRILLING
Do it like a pro and grill directly over the red-hot coal – on the accompanying stainless steel or cast iron grid. Regardless of how you feel safe: the heat of the embers leads to quality meat with perfect taste.
INDIRECT GRILLING
As soon as you have hung the deflector stone into the fire ring and placed it directly over the hot coals, the heat will move outwards in a controlled manner. The indirect heat cooks the food gently: The results are tender, juicy and delicious barbecue every time.
BAKING
With a Monolith there is no need to invest in a separate pizza oven. Now you can easily make authentic Italian thin crust pizzas or even American deep pan pizzas within minutes to impress your friends and family. This setup is also perfect for breads, cakes and pastries.
SMOKING
Different options exist for smoking food: smoking with wood, wood chips or wood flour. After heating the grill up, close the air regulator, minimising the intake of air. By adding different kinds of seasoning or spices destined for smoked food, you can change the flavour of your meal as you wish. It is used for traditional barbecue meats that require long, slow cooking at low heat, such as ribs, brisket, whole turkey, and pulled pork. Barbecue, low temperature cooking, baking, smoking ...
Which ever way you prepare your dishes, the MONOLITH grill will always enable you to achieve perfect results. No matter whether you need very high temperatures to grill the perfect steak or smoke a large amount of meat for hours on low temperatures.
The MONOLITH used as a stone oven is perfectly suitable for baking pizza or bread. The temperature range is between 70 °C and 400 °C. Due to its unique efficiency the grill needs very little energy to generate and maintain the desired temperatures. Using 3 kg of charcoal, the MONOLITH can work in the low temperature range for up to 24 hours. Hence very little oxygen is required; air movement is extremely low in the grill, preventing the meat from drying out. The meat remains moist. If you just want to quickly grill 2 steaks, this is not a problem.
Due to the chimney effect, the charcoal heats up extremely fast. With the high temperatures you can grill the steaks, closing the openings afterwards to regulate the air. The grill and fire area are very well sealed; the charcoal embers die down within a short time and can be used for another time.
